3 Construction Phase Plan: MTV WORLD STAGE / MUSIC WEEK Construction Phase Plan Issue Date: 01/11/2024 Revision: 1.0.0 1.5 Venue New Century Hall, Manchester 1.6 Description of works The construction phase of the plan for rigging all elements and infrastructure for the main World Stage event, and Music Week event at New Century Hall. Rigging activity will entail manual handling, unloading/ loading, lifting operations and electrical work, and some working at height via ladders and platforms. 1.7 Timescale for the works Build/ Set up of event – 1 day. Event – Music Week – 3 days, World Stage 1 day De-rig/ Breakdown of event – ½ day (overnight) 1.8 Key Roles in the Event Team: Caroline Lloyd – Line Producer Beth Baxter – Production Manager Isabella Arndt – Music Week Producer Venue Manager – Zak Padmore Venue Production Manager – Mish Thomson Tech Manager – Dom Peissel ESA – Ben Harding 2.0 Management of the Construction Phase 2.1 Pre-production Main contractors have submitted documentation prior to the event. 2.2 Onsite All contractors will confirm in advance of arrivals on site, that their staff have received site safety and welfare information. Contractors not confirming this in advance will not be able to collect accreditation for any of their staff. The preconstruction induction information will outline site rules, welfare facilities, first aid, incident reporting, fire and emergency procedures. Works will be monitored and managed by the event management team mentioned in 1.8 to make sure all works is carried out correctly in accordance with legislation and supplied RAMS. All equipment to be suitable for task and checked before use to make sure in adequate working order, suitable fall prevention means implemented for work at height, vehicle movement within the EXT OB compound to be controlled by banksman if required,
